Managed File Tokenization

What is managed file tokenization?

Managed file tokenization (MFT) refers to a technology that provides the secure transfer of data in reaction to an event or schedule. MFT is a more reliable alternative to using SFTP (secure file transfer protocol) and HTTP to transfer files. MFT allows companies to avoid custom scripting and meet compliance requirements while receiving large files which contain sensitive data on potentially complex schedules across a variety of protocols.

When do I need it

VGS MFT is well suited to sending, receiving and processing large files up to and over 150gb data when you require strict SLA adherence and active monitoring. It's commonly used for systematic B2B or enterprise wide file transfer.

VGS MFT handles complex scenarios including mapping, unzipping, transforming files across a range of transport mechanisms including AWS S3 and SFTP. Full Observability is provided to allow for reporting (e.g., notification of successful and unsuccessful file transfers), non-repudiation, audit trails, global visibility, automation of file transfer-related activities and processes, end-to-end security, and performance metrics/monitoring.

Common use cases include

  • Card settlement file processing - receiving files from issuer processors for your treasury team

  • Client compliance file processing - sending files to regulators

  • Batch payment file processing - sending files to processors

How do I get it

MFT is an enterprise feature that requires you to contact VGS sales and support to plan an implementation.
